Establishing Our Roots: The Birth of T.T.E. Engineering in Malaysia

T.T.E. Engineering was established as the Malaysian subsidiary of Takasago Thermal Engineering Co., Ltd., a renowned name in Japan’s HVAC industry. With this foundation, the company brought decades of Japanese engineering expertise, work culture, and advanced technologies to Malaysia’s growing infrastructure landscape. Our early mission was clear: to deliver high-quality, energy-efficient HVAC and mechanical systems tailored to local market needs while upholding the reliability and precision associated with Japanese engineering.

Gaining Industry Trust: Awarded Malaysia’s Highest Contractor Classification

T.T.E. Engineering was awarded the Grade G7 accreditation by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia, the highest classification for construction contractors. This recognition marked our readiness to undertake large-scale, high-value, and technically complex projects across the country. It positioned us as a capable and credible player in the mechanical and electrical (M&E) engineering sector, ready to serve industries ranging from commercial to industrial and beyond.

Commitment to Quality: Achieving ISO 9001 Certification

In pursuit of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction, we obtained MS ISO 9001 certification. This internationally recognized quality management standard reinforced our structured approach to project execution, quality control, and service delivery. During a key period of growth, T.T.E. Engineering successfully delivered complex projects for global manufacturers such as Intel, Osram, Panasonic, and B. Braun. These high-profile collaborations demonstrated our technical capabilities, adaptability, and commitment to excellence under demanding operational conditions. From semiconductor fabrication to healthcare manufacturing, our engineering solutions enabled technologically advanced and energy-efficient environments.

Bridging Academia and Industry: R&D Collaboration with MJIIT

We partnered with the Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT) to establish a joint research facility focused on advancing engineering methodologies. This collaboration bridged academic research with practical application, promoting sustainable, intelligent building systems that combine Japanese best practices with local innovation.

Investing in Nature: Launch of the Educational Forest CSR Project

In collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), we launched the Educational Forest Project, pledging to plant 25,000 trees annually. This long-term CSR initiative supports reforestation, promotes environmental education, and contributes to biodiversity conservation. It reflects our belief that engineering progress must go hand in hand with environmental stewardship.

Engineering the Future: Embracing Digitalization and Safety Culture

As part of our transformation journey, we adopted Building Information Modelling (BIM), real-time project tracking, and integrated digital tools to enhance project accuracy, transparency, and efficiency. Simultaneously, we reinforced our Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) framework, embedding a culture of accountability and zero incidents. Managing Director

Mr. Tan Seng Teck

Mr. Tan leads the overall operations and business direction of T.T.E. Engineering. With extensive experience in the engineering sector, he drives performance, strengthens client partnerships and ensures projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Deputy Managing Director

Mr. Keita Katagiri
